I have been recording my own music since I was 12 years old. I have periodically helped friends & fellow musicians record their own stuff, too. I love capturing sounds in unconventional spaces - places that are comfortable and cozy, spots that are unique or personally important to the musician - bedrooms and living rooms, back porches, the forest, etc. I've been doing this for years, mostly out of love and enjoyment, and am still slowly learning little bits about all of it with each passing record. I'm not a virtuoso, but I love recording - just experimenting and seeing what I can capture. Natural, processed, weird, hazy, clean, fat, crisp, broken… all of it!
If you are interested in working with me to make a recording outside of official studio walls - but one that can still capture your vibe and sound pretty well! - let me know your thoughts. Perhaps it’s just a single tune, or maybe a whole bunch. Due to my space and time limitations, I will work for very affordable rates. Let's experiment and find ways to capture the heart & vibe of your songs. With the exception of my piano, which we can record at my house if we can find some time when the kids are out in the world, everything below can and does travel.
